Miley Cyrus and her longtime boyfriend Maxx Morando put on a sweet display at last night’s premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles — and sparked engagement rumors in the process.

The Something Beautiful singer, 33, and her musician beau, 27, posed for photos on the red carpet, and fans were quick to point out her choice of jewelry for the occasion: a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger. People confirmed the news of Cyrus and Morando’s engagement on Tuesday, citing an unnamed source, though Cyrus has yet to confirm it herself.

The duo was first linked in 2021 and has appeared to be going strong ever since. From blind date beginnings to awards show outings with the singer’s family, here's a timeline of Cyrus and Morando’s four-year relationship.

2021: A blind date and a night with Gucci

In the summer of 2021, Cyrus and Morando were set up on a blind date. The “Flowers” singer figured it was worth taking a chance.

“We got put on a blind date,” she told British Vogue in 2023. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’”

Later that year, in November 2021, Cyrus and Morando sparked romance rumors when they attended the Gucci Love Parade fashion show together. Cyrus opted for a metallic blue fringe dress with a pale yellow feathered drop waist. Morando, meanwhile, stepped out in a burgundy suit with a collared G-logo shirt.

2022: Morando supports Cyrus during her holiday special
